AAA Auto Mall Court Case

We are pleased to announce that the neighborhood has won a great victory on Tuesday July 25, 2006. The Village of Ossining Planning Board rejected the plans of the owners of the AAA Auto Mall to build an additional building at 179 North Highland Avenue in Ossining, This means that we can stop attending meetings at least for now, however, the war is not over!

An Appeal was Initiated and Denied :

The property owners of the buildings at 179 North Highland Avenue in Ossining, NY, filed papers in Justice DiBella's court in White Plains, NY, on August 21, 2006 for an Article 78 Proceeding in an attenpt to overturn the decision of the Village of Ossining Planning Board that was rendered on July 25, 2006 dening the application of the AAA Auto Mall for variances and permits to build an additional building at 179 Norht Highland Avenue in Ossining, NY. The Planning Board of the Village of Ossining will be represented by the Village Attorney's Office and will oppose any changes in the Planning Boards decision, which is consistant with our wishes. In October 2006 the appeal was denied. No new building will be started at 179 Noth Highland Avenue, Ossining, NY, any time in the near future!
